Safe Renewables Adds Austin Biofuels to Expand Sales
and Marketing

Safe Renewables (SRC) has expanded its Texas sales and marketing capabilities with the acquisition of the marketing and retail distribution operations of Austin Biofuels, LLC.

“This new venture is part of our broad initiative to extend SRC’s reach in major markets, and to provide added outlets for SRC’s growing biodiesel production output,” said Keith Forman, SRC’s Chief Executive Officer.

Austin Biofuels is a leading Texas-based marketer of biodiesel focused on the transportation sector. The two companies have worked together for several years at the leading edge of biodiesel production and marketing.

“The acquisition of Austin Biofuels is another milestone in our quest to vertically integrate and extend our reach closer to the end user,” noted Jeffrey Kissel, SRC’s Chief Operating Officer.

As of December 2006, Austin Biofuels founders and principals Jeff Plowman, Kurt Lyell, and Robby Plenge will officially join the Safe Renewables sales and marketing team.
